Unfortunately, we now have politicians who do not believe in democracy. These politicians got their positions by lying to the public. Lying politicians can be voted out at the end of their terms. A better solution is to make sure they don’t get into office in the first place.

We propose a constitutional amendment that criminalizes lying (in the course of seeking federal office or conducting federal business) to the American public. Such an amendment would greatly simplify our election process and federal government in general.. We would not have been forced to endure 4 years of the Maga Mess with such a provision. This provision will verbal honesty at the federal level and could well b adopted at lower levels of government as well.
